Dublin Core

Title Peanut vendor outside Park Avenue Market at East 11th Street, Harlem
Description Children loved to eat peanuts, social workers encouraged the poor to buy them as a cheap source of protein, and hostesses put chopped peanuts into tea sandwiches. No other 19th-century street food played so many roles and won such widespread approval.
