Miss Corson's Practical American Cookery and Household Management

Dublin Core

Title Miss Corson's Practical American Cookery and Household Management
Description Juliet Corson was the most important New York culinary authority of her time, and her sharp, practical advice was trusted by home cooks throughout the city. "Raspberries, blackberries and subacid plums all make good short-cake," she wrote in Family Living on $500 a Year. "A practice largely prevails in New York of using a sort of cup-cake instead of genuine short-cake, but the result is questionable."
