Description The Horn & Hardart Company took special pride in its coffee, calling it "the most important feature of our business." It emerged from decorative spouts in exactly the right amount for a cup, with cream included automatically. (Black coffee was available separately.) Any unsold coffee was thrown out after an hour and replaced with freshly brewed, and company executives tasted it regularly at different restaurants to check the quality.
