Description Frank O'Hara (1926-1966) supported himself by working at the Museum of Modern Art, and he often used his lunch breaks to write poetry. Sometimes he typed at his desk, other times he sat on a bench outdoors, and many days he simply walked the streets of midtown, absorbing the city.
