Dublin Core

Title Childs' Lunch Rooms menu
Description By 1900, when this menu was printed, Childs' Lunch Rooms were largely clustered in and around the financial district of lower Manhattan. The lunchrooms, which stressed quality food, clean surroundings, and low prices, remained popular eateries throughout the first half of the 20th century. Butter cakes and wheat cakes, prepared in the front windows to entice passersby, were specialties.
