Listen to a a joint radio broadcast recorded on December 10, 1937, between W2XAF/W2XAD in Schenectady and LSX in Buenos Aires — a feat in transcontinental connection in 1937. At the beginning of this recording, the announcer, preparing the audience for the discussion, says, "This is an impromptu exchange of greetings ... shall we call it a 'conference,' at which we are privileged to eavesdrop." Fair President Grover Whalen and L. A. Fiori, director of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce, address, in real time, negotiations between the Argentinian government and Fair officials, and unresolved trade issues.
