Discover the majestic 100-year-old Stephen A. Schwarzman Building through free tours or one of the many exciting programs celebrating our Centennial. Check out hours and other visitor information for the landmark library at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street.

Since it opened on May 23, 1911, this marble masterpiece has been a source of inspiration — for a novel, an invention, a new career, or as a welcoming place to pull up a chair and open a book. It is also the inspiration for Celebrating 100 Years, a free exhibition through March 4, 2012 that showcases the extraordinary range of the Library's collections.
